college ministryNovember 2-3—WHAT DOES GOD WANT ME TO DO WITH MY LIFE?

registerredIf Jesus is the Lord of your life, what does he want you to do with it?  Whatever career you might pursue, how can you glorify God in that work?  What kind of ministry would you love to develop and pour your heart into? And what if God is calling you to start a new faith community...maybe you don't want to start a church like those you see, but find yourself dreaming of what could be. Here is a place for you to discover a dream God may be putting in your heart, and discover how it could become a reality. Come join the Training Center and the TwentySomethings ministry of Riverside and discover how you can partner with God in this adventure called life.  This event is targeted for college and seminary students. A recent grant has reduced the cost to $35, which includes Friday night hotel and meals...don't miss this chance to join us!  Registration opens late July.

LocationRiverside Presbyterian Church, Sterling VA (near Dulles Airport)

Date:  Begins Friday at 8:00 PM.  Concludes Saturday after dinner, but you are invited to stay for a nighttime tour of downtown DC and worship at Riverside Church the following morning (9:15 and 10:45 services).

Schedule: Friday night worship gathering followed by a party hosted by the Riverside Twentysomethings.  Saturday includes times of worship, drama, and small group discussions. We'll culminate the day with dinner and prayer.  All those who wish to stay can join us for an evening excursion into the city and worship on Sunday morning.  Please note that to stay Saturday night, you'll need to cover the hotel cost ($50 double occupancy, $25 for 4 to a room).

What can I expect?  Expect to be inspired, challenged, and surprised.  2 of our leaders, Brian and Jeff, have a lot to share about starting a different kind of church--check out the video below to get an idea of what kind of ministry Jeff has been involved with.  He began with a passion for Christ and a vision for a faith community...he didn't start with a job description and a job opening...hecreated a new community.  We think there are lots of you out there who have passion and great ideas, and we want to help you find the courage to do what God wants you to do with your life.
